Colm Summers (Director, Bride Groom Witness Waitress) (he/him) is an Irish director based in Brooklyn, NY, and the Artistic Director of Working Theater. Credits include Every Brilliant Thing by Duncan Macmillan (Geffen Playhouse, Theatrely’s “Best of Theater 2023”) and The Comedians by Philip Dawkins (Raven Theatre, Jeff Nominated). He has developed work with Manhattan Theatre Club, Berkeley Rep, Page 73, Clubbed Thumb, Rattlestick Theater, JACK, BRIC, Breaking the Binary, the Abbey Theatre, and more. Colm was a 2024 Drama League Fellow and the inaugural Resident Director at both the Geffen Playhouse and the Abbey Theatre, the National Theatre of Ireland. His play Falls was recognized by the Relentless Awards, and he has been commissioned by Irish Arts Center, the Irish Arts Council, and the Puffin Foundation. A BMI Lehman Engel Bookwriting alum and member of Origin Theatre’s inaugural writers group, he is also Co-Chair of Opera at the Mason Gross School of Music, Rutgers University.
