CHIP ZIEN (Shrimpy). In his 50-year career, Chip Zien has left an indelible mark on the American stage. On Broadway, he originated iconic roles such as The Baker in James Lapine and Stephen Sondheim’s Into the Woods and Mendel in William Finn and Lapine’s award-winning Falsettos. Most recently, he starred as Rabbi in Bruce Sussman and Barry Manilow’s Harmony, the moving true story of a singing group silenced by the rise of fascism in Nazi Germany. Beyond the stage, Zien has been a series regular on all major networks and appeared in recurring roles on acclaimed shows including “Hunters” (Amazon), “House of Cards” (Netflix), “The Night Of” (HBO), and “Bull” (CBS). On film, he appeared in United 93, The Siege, Snake Eyes, and famously voiced the title role in Universal Pictures’ Howard the Duck. His live cabaret show, “Seriously Upbeat” is available on all streaming platforms.
