CARLOS GONZALEZ (Associate Choreographer) was born and raised in Cuba, after his mother won the U.S. Visa Lottery his family left everything behind and started a new life in the States in hope of a better future. As a performer credits include: Film: Steven Spielberg’s West Side Story; Broadway: West Side Story revival, On Your Feet original cast, In The Heights (National Tour), all while maintaining a tight connection to his homeland Cuba and connecting artists regardless of political views. He returned to Cuba as part of the creative team of the first two professional musicals produced there in 50 years: Carmen Jones and Rent which was also turned into the documentary Revolution Rent on HBO.
