Community Programs

Uncovering and celebrating the stories of our varied human existence.

At Atlantic, we strive to connect deeply and authentically with all New York City communities to welcome new audiences. Whether you join us for a talkback, student matinee, or relaxed performance, all are welcome at Atlantic.

Community Audience Partnership

The Community Audience Partnership (CAP) program aims to connect deeply and authentically with audiences from a broad range of economic backgrounds, ages, ethnicities, and perspectives. By offering discounted tickets, creating partnerships, and holding special events including Community Influencer Nights and show-specific Theme Night panel discussions, our goal is to build partnerships with communities throughout the city and create an inclusive environment to engage them in productions at Atlantic.

Arts Education

At Atlantic, our aim is singular—to empower simple and honest storytelling that fosters greater understanding of our shared world. We are a family of artists dedicated to exploring essential truths onstage. In addition to our work as a producer of theater, we are an educator of theater. We are driven by the belief that theater can challenge and transform our ways of thinking and urge us to reflect on our role in society. Through our community-based education programs, we are committed to uncovering and celebrating the stories of our varied human existence.

Relaxed Performances

At Atlantic, we are are committed to creating an environment that is open and welcoming to all. We hold Relaxed Performances each season – two for each of our Atlantic for Kids productions: one for public school groups and one for the general public.

Relaxed Performances offer accommodations for people who benefit from a more relaxed theater-going environment —including but not limited to those with autism, sensory or communication disabilities, or developmental disabilities.
