Atlantic is committed to making our website’s content accessible and user friendly to everyone. If you are having difficulty viewing or navigating the content on this website, or notice any content, feature, or functionality that you believe is not fully accessible to people with disabilities, please call our Customer Service team at 212-691-5919 and let the receptionist know you’d like to speak with someone about issues with access, or email our team at info@atlantictheater.org with “Access Concerns” in the subject line. Please provide a description of the specific feature you feel is not fully accessible or a suggestion for improvement. We take your feedback seriously and appreciate your input as we evaluate ways to accommodate all of our audiences and students and as we shape our overall accessibility policies.

Wheelchair Accessibility

Wheelchair access and assistive listening devices are available at both the Linda Gross Theater and Atlantic Stage 2. Wheelchair accessible seats and seats with removable armrests may be purchased in person, over the phone, or online.

Ticket Purchasing

When purchasing a wheelchair accessible seat online, please select an available “Wheelchair Removal Seat” ticket type. Seats with removable armrests may be purchased online by selecting an available “Designated Aisle Seat” ticket type. Accessible seats may also be purchased over the phone at 646-452-2220. If you will remain in your wheelchair and will not be transferring to a theater seat, please make that indication to the phone agent during your ticket purchasing order. Accessing the Box Office/Theater

Linda Gross Theater

Patrons can use the ramp, located past the gate to the right of the theater, to access the Linda Gross Theater lobby. The box office and elevator are located on this level. Bathrooms and concessions are located one level down from the lobby. The theater is located one level up from the lobby. Wheelchair accessible seats are located in row L. All other seats within the theater require steps to access. Our Box Office and House Management staff will gladly assist you with any of your accessibility needs.

Atlantic Stage 2

The box office at Atlantic Stage 2 is at street level and does not require any steps. A wheelchair lift and elevator will bring patrons with limited mobility from the lobby to the theater. Bathrooms and water fountains are located on the same level as the theater. Wheelchair accessible seats are located in row AA. Seats in row A, in addition to seats in row AA, do not require steps to access. Our Box Office and House Management staff will gladly assist you with any of your accessibility needs.

Assistive Listening Systems

The Linda Gross Theater is equipped with Induction Hearing Loops for assistive listening. If your hearing aid has a T-coil, please toggle to that setting to receive audio signal directly without any headphones. If your hearing aid does not have a T-coil, headphones are also available to use with the Assisted Listening Device. You are also welcome to bring your personal headsets, earbuds, or headphones that have a 3.5mm connector. If using headphones, please be sure to turn down the volume on your hearing aids to avoid feedback. Assisted Listening Devices are available from the concessions bar in the lower lobby at the Linda Gross Theater. Please let the bartender know if your hearing aid is T-coil equipped.

Stage 2 is equipped with an Infrared Assisted Listening system. Please see a House Manager in the basement of Stage 2 to obtain an Assisted Listening Devices.

Accessible Performances

OPEN CAPTION PERFORMANCES

Open caption performances offer accommodations for people who are deaf or hearing impaired. During the performance, a captioner scrolls lines of text onto a large screen located in front of or near the stage in sync with the performance.

As a part of Atlantic’s Community Audience Partnership (CAP) program, $25 tickets are available for every open caption performance. Please email bdegenhardt@atlantictheater.org with “Open Caption Performance” in the subject line to inquire about booking $25 tickets.

The next open caption performance of Buena Vista Social Club™ will take place on Thursday, December 21 at 7pm.

Additionally, Atlantic will hold an ASL Interpreted performance of Buena Vista Social Club™ on Tuesday, December 19 at 7pm via HandsOn.

AUDIO DESCRIBED PERFORMANCES

Audio described performances offer accommodations for people who are blind or visually impaired. A live audio descriptor articulates the design and direction on stage during the performance in real time via an Assisted Listening Device.

As a part of Atlantic’s Community Audience Partnership (CAP) program, $25 tickets are available for every audio described performance. Please email bdegenhardt@atlantictheater.org with “Audio Described Performance” in the subject line to inquire about booking $25 tickets.

Relaxed Performances offer accommodations for people who benefit from a more relaxed theater-going environment —including but not limited to those with autism, sensory or communication disabilities, or developmental disabilities. We currently hold four Relaxed Performances each season – two for each of our Atlantic for Kids productions: one for public school groups and one for the general public.
