136 9th Ave (between 18th and 19th streets)
Chelsea’s romantic Restaurant & Garden is around the corner from The Linda Gross Theater. Serves dinner and drinks daily until 10pm.
156 Ninth Ave
Tipsy Parson is an affordable, soulful and fun neighborhood American restaurant in west Chelsea serving “belly-filling goodness” seven days a week – morning, noon and night.
240 West 14TH Street
This is one of our favorite places to recommend, though it’s a bit further of a walk from the theater. Its northern Italian cuisine is great, and you and your friends might enjoy their extensive wine list which covers most of Italy. They have a full bar of grappas, amaros, aperitifs, and digestifs for aficionados.
190 Seventh Avenue
A little more relaxed than Tipsy Parson and Crispo, Eolo is the place to go for great Sicilian food. Eolo also has opened a small “pasta bar” just a couple blocks from the theater on 9th called Pastai.
191 Seventh Avenue
Il Bastardo is Chelsea’s new and exclusive Tuscan Grill, raw bar, and wine bar located just two blocks from the theater. Providing the neighborhood with a steak destination, il Bastardo is Chelsea’s place for reasonably priced quality meats, fresh seafood selections, and savory wine in a casual yet sophisticated chic ambiance.
10TH Avenue Cookshop
156 Tenth Avenue
Prepared on the grill, split rotisserie or wood-burning oven, Chef Marc Meyer and Chef de Cuisine Andrew Corrigan, deftly coax the flavor from each ingredient, creating delicious dishes that also happen to be healthy. Their satisfying desserts by Pastry Chef Amanda Cook are the perfect ending to the dining experience.
Le Grainne Café
183 9TH Avenue
With its large corner windows, tin ceilings and tin walls Le Grainne Café is reminiscent of a cafe in Paris. The food is very French and gets rave reviews from locals who fill the seats in this small cafe.
