Atlantic Theater Company accepts only solicited material, agent submissions, and work/proposals from its ensemble. Our season is comprised of four mainstage productions of new plays and revivals, and two second stage productions with an emphasis on American writers.

The season is complemented by a development series of readings and workshops, and we have an active commissioning program.

Inquiries will be read, but those who send inquiries should be aware that they will only receive a response if we wish to request their material. Only materials submitted with an SASE will be returned. Inquiries must include a cover letter, playwright’s resume, and a 10-20 page dialogue sample and a CD if inquiring about a musical. Inquiries may be submitted by mail in an envelope addressed to Literary Department, Atlantic Theater Company, 76 Ninth Avenue – Suite 537, New York, NY 10011, attn:INQUIRIES or online to literary@atlantictheater.org with INQUIRY in the subject line.
